Cutting long vegetables into elongated segments

With this practical and efficient part-insertion tool, elongated vegetables such as cucumbers, zucchinis, leeks, carrots, or smaller eggplants can be effortlessly sliced into segments.

The mounting plate, equipped with three openings for part insertions, securely attaches to a table using a clamping mechanism. Once the appropriate part inserts are screwed in place, the long vegetables can be inserted vertically into the guiding tube above the cutting insert. They are then pulled out under the cutting insert as perfectly sliced segments.

Thanks to the various cutting inserts available, the vegetables can be divided into different segments, such as:
- Halves
- Halves with the center removed (different center diameters available)
- Divided into 4, 6, 8, or 10 pieces (in addition to removing the center)

The S195 is a compact punching machine that was specially developed for segmenting, coring and cutting small-caliber fruit and vegetables. The table-top device is able to cut the material into corners, sticks or shapes.

Cutting vegetables and fruits into sticks of various sizes

The S198 cuts vegetables and fruits through a pneumatically operated cutting process that requires no manual effort. This compact tabletop device cuts sticks and other shapes. It processes products with a maximum length of 100 mm and a maximum diameter of 95 mm. For longer products up to 200 mm, an extended version of the S198 is available. The S198 is particularly suitable for processing potatoes (French fries), carrots, zucchinis, radishes, parsnips, and cucumbers.

The cutting process works as follows: The product is placed horizontally into the S198, and closing the lid activates the cutting process. A plunger pushes the product through the grid insert. This simple operation allows up to 600 cutting processes per hour.

Due to its small footprint, the S198 is flexible and easy to use in large kitchens that wish to process vegetables and fruits into decorative products. The cutting machine is low-maintenance, easy to clean, and ensures high work safety through the trigger mechanism when the lid is closed. All these features make it particularly user-friendly.

Der Hunger der Konsumentinnen und Konsumenten nach neuen und Innovativen Produkten ist grösser denn je. Die S021 ermöglicht Ihnen schnell und einfach dekorative Spiralen aus Obst oder Gemüse herzustellen.
 
Durch unterschiedliche Einsätze können verschiedene Spiralen-Stärken (z.B. 2 x 2 mm, 2 x 8 mm, 2 x 10 mm - weitere Ausführungen auf Anfrage) mit einer maximalen Produktlänge von 250 mm produziert werden.
 
Die geschnittenen Spiralen bieten der gemüseverarbeitenden Industrie eine ideale Möglichkeit, ihr Produkt in einer neuen attraktiven Form, z.B. als feine Spaghetti, zu präsentieren.

Einfache Bedienung der S021:
1.	Messer einsetzen: Messer mit der gewünschten Schnittgrösse einlegen.
2.	Produkt einlegen: Zum Beispiel eine Karotte einlegen.
3.	Sicherheitsabdeckung schliessen: Abdeckung schliessen und Startschalter drücken.
4.	Automatischer Schneidevorgang: Das Produkt wird automatisch und mit gleichbleibendem Druck in luftige Spiralen geschnitten.
5.	Rückkehr in Ausgangsposition: Die Maschine kehrt in die Ausgangsposition zurück und ist bereit für das nächste Produkt.

Thanks to the pneumatic cutting machine, fruit and vegetables can be processed in a variety of cut shapes - all without manual effort. The large selection of available cutting inserts makes it possible to de-stem, segment or cut fruit and vegetables into cubes, strips, slices, segments or sticks. In addition, there are also special inserts for special cutting shapes such as de-stems for apples or peppers, kiwi cutters, mango corers and corn cobs. Even pineapples can be peeled, de-stem and cut. Inserts are also available for special cuts such as diamonds, boats, plates in various sizes and figures such as stars and hearts.
To cut the product to be processed, it is manually positioned on the mounted cutting insert and the cutting process is activated by pressing the buttons. The product is then punched into the appropriate shape, depending on the blade used, and falls either into a container or onto an optionally available conveyor belt for the discharge of the products.
The PGW pneumatic cutting machine is available as a table-top device as standard, but can also be optionally supplied with a mobile base frame.

The pneumatic cutting machine is perfect for cutting fruit and vegetables into a wide range of different shapes. It benefits from an extensive selection of cutting inserts that make this variety possible.

The Tona Rapid offers optimal cutting quality for slices, segments, and sticks through precise product alignment. This cutting machine can process products with a maximum diameter of 85 mm and a height of up to 140 mm. It is particularly suitable for fruits and vegetables such as apples, lemons, bell peppers, or cucumbers that need to maintain a specific orientation during the cutting process to achieve optimal results. Depending on the cutting tool used, the machine produces cored and sliced fruit and vegetable pieces in the form of slices, segments (quarters, eighths, etc.), or sticks.

Products are manually placed into the dual-row product holders and remain in this orientation until the cutting process. The pneumatic cutting process is automated, followed by the separate discharge of good product and waste from the machine.

The Tona Rapid S145 cutting machine

With the Tona Rapid, vegetables and fruit can be cut into slices, segments or sticks, and cored. The product holders ensure precise alignment of the food, which guarantees excellent cutting quality.

Thanks to the quick change of cutting inserts, the Tona V is extremely flexible and enables the production of vegetable and fruit products in slices, segments and sticks. The machine cuts continuously and offers various cutting inserts that can be easily exchanged. Cleaning is just as straightforward, which ensures efficient processing even with frequent product changes. The products to be processed can have a maximum diameter of 120 mm and a maximum height of 150 mm.

The Tona V can be used to produce the following products, among others:
• Tomato segments, potato wedges, lime segments (quarters, eighths, etc.)
• Onion rings, slices of kiwi or mushrooms, longitudinal cuts of zucchini
• Carrot sticks
• Pepper pieces, for example for shashlik skewers

The products are manually positioned in the rotating holders and transported in this orientation until the cutting process in order to achieve optimal cutting results. The automatic cutting process is carried out electrically and the cut products fall into a box placed underneath during discharge, which can be positioned in the holder provided.

The Tona V is used in the production of vegetable and fruit slices, segments or sticks. With several easily interchangeable cutting inserts and uncomplicated cleaning, it is ideal for frequently changing cuts and products.

To process apples quickly and easily, you can use the semi-automatic AS 2 peeling, cutting and coring machine. This compact, multifunctional table-top device is easy to use and is perfect for the high-care area of fruit processing. The machine can process up to three apples at the same time and can therefore handle up to 600 apples per hour, i.e. around 90 kg at 150 g per apple. If you also want to cut apple slices, the AS 4 or AS 6 models are ideal.

The apples are processed in four steps: First, the apples are placed by hand on the three mandrels. If necessary, the apples are peeled. The core is then removed and, if necessary, cut into segments. The finished segments are separated from the peels via the separating cylinder and discharged into separate chutes.

The semi-automatic peeling, cutting and coring machine AS 2 is suitable for many applications, for example for fresh apple segments for fresh-cut snacks, peeled apple segments for the bakery and confectionery sector or even for apples with chocolate coating or fruit salad.

The machine can process whole apples with a diameter of 55 to 85 mm and a maximum height of 80 mm. The AS 2 is supplied as standard with a Ø 20 mm cutting tube with stripping fork, a knife head with peeling knife and a separating cylinder. There is also a large selection of dividing stars and cutting tubes as optional accessories.

Effective Post-Treatment for Improved Product Shelf Life

The KDB 120 immersion bath is specifically designed for the post-treatment of peeled or cut fruits and vegetables. By adding special additives to the water, the shelf life of the treated products is significantly extended. With adjustable fill levels and dwell times, the system allows for resource-efficient and reliable treatment.

The product to be treated is introduced into the immersion bath via the feed hopper. Optionally, a lift belt can be integrated for automated filling. As the product moves through the immersion tank, an additional spray from above ensures effective treatment of floating products as well. An optional pre-drying with a blower can be added before the product is transferred either into containers or onto a conveyor belt.

The KDB is capable of treating, for example, cut and/or peeled apples within 30 seconds, achieving an impressive capacity of up to 750 kg per hour.

Immersion bath KDB 120

In the KDB 120 immersion treatment system, cut fruits and vegetables are treated using a minimal amount of water, thereby reducing the addition of additives. This helps to increase shelf life and minimize microbial contamination on the surface of the products.

Safe UVC Surface Disinfection for Food, Packaging Materials, and Tools
In close collaboration between Kronen GmbH and sterilAir®, the UVC-Lock disinfection chamber was developed for UVC surface disinfection. The UVC-Lock offers a reliable and fast solution to reduce surface microbial load when transitioning into the hygiene area. The dry disinfection process occurs without heat or undesirable residues and additives. Thanks to highly effective UVC technology, we achieve excellent disinfection results in a short time. This allows for a compact design of the machine and its application even for sensitive products.

Products are either manually placed or fed via a processing line onto the conveyor belt and passed through a shielded area with UVC emitter tubes. The UVC-Lock enables 360-degree disinfection, with the efficient arrangement of UVC emitters ensuring an almost complete irradiation surface. The stainless steel mesh belt minimizes product shadowing from below. At the end of the conveyor, the disinfected product is transferred, for example, into the high-care area.

Versatile Applications:
The UVC-Lock is commonly used for surface disinfection of crates, tools, packaging materials (e.g., buckets or cans), food outer packaging (e.g., sausage casings), and fruit and vegetable products before further processing, such as cabbage heads or pre-peeled onions and carrots. The capacity varies depending on the product and contact time, which affects germ reduction. For instance, cabbage heads can be disinfected at a rate of up to 3 t/h with conveyor speeds ranging from 0.05 to 0.3 m/s. For transport crates (600 x 400 mm), up to 900 pieces per hour can be treated at a conveyor speed of 0.2 m/s.

Note: The disinfection of food is subject to country-specific legal regulations.

UVC-Lock Disinfection Chamber

Thanks to UVC surface disinfection, packaging materials, tools, and food are efficiently and safely freed from germs. This process is quick, without heat treatment, and without the use of undesirable additives or residues.

Efficient, gentle and water-saving washing of up to 2.5 tons per hour

The GEWA 3800 PLUS is ideal for pre-washing, washing, disinfecting, mixing, treating and rinsing salad, vegetables and fruit. It can be used flexibly and is typically positioned after a cutting machine between the low and high care areas.

Filling and washing process:
- The washing tank can be filled automatically via a feed belt or manually.
- The HELICAL washing system conveys both floating and sinking products through the washing tank in a spiral movement.
- The flow speed and movement of the water can be adapted to different products.
- At the end of the washing tank, the products are transported to a vibration or belt discharge via an overflow and sprayed off with a fresh water shower.
- The water is fed through a sieve into the pump tank, from where it is pumped back into the washing tank and reused.

Versatile applications:
- Lettuce (e.g. baby leaf, iceberg): cut and whole leaves
- Vegetables: cut and whole
- Herbs (e.g. parsley, chives): loose and in bunches
- Fruit (e.g. pineapple, melon): cut and whole
- Other: other leafy products (e.g. spinach), tuber products, pulses, mushrooms and algae or seaweed

Results:
- Guarantee of an undamaged, optimally cleaned and, if necessary, disinfected product through the use of a washing additive.
- Efficient mixing (e.g. mixed salads) and cooling down of the products during the washing process.

Washing machine GEWA 3800 PLUS with vibration or belt discharge

The HEWA 3800 offers an efficient, gentle and economical cleaning capacity of up to 2.5 tons per hour. As a further development of the GEWA 3800 PLUS, it has been specially optimized for maximum hygiene and a shortened cleaning time. For example, the machine has no horizontal surfaces to ensure optimal drainage of the water. It is also easy to dismantle, which enables thorough and quick cleaning.

Like its predecessor, the GEWA 3800 PLUS, the HEWA 3800 is ideal for pre-washing, washing, disinfecting, mixing, treating and rinsing salad, vegetables and fruit. It is extremely flexible in use and typically finds its place between the low and high care areas after a cutting machine.

The washing tank can be filled either automatically via a feed belt or manually. The innovative HELICAL washing system ensures that both floating and sinking products are conveyed through the washing tank in a spiral movement. Decontamination of whole products with guaranteed dwell time

The DECONWA Prep is designed to reduce the load of germs, viruses, and bacteria on the surface of whole fruits and vegetables. Hygienic additives such as chlorine or peracetic acid are added to the wash water. This wet decontamination prepares raw products optimally for further processing and minimizes cross-contamination between products and during peeling or cutting, thus improving shelf life.

The DECONWA Prep ensures optimal hygiene at the very beginning of the processing chain and facilitates the smooth transition from "low care" to "high care" production areas.

The machine is compact and space-saving, with a low filling height and small footprint. It can be flexibly adjusted to different products and production requirements through various settings and options.

The machine's capacity depends on several factors. For example, approximately 1,000 kg of apples can be processed per hour, with a cycle time of 4.5 minutes (1.5 minutes for filling, 30 seconds dwell time, and 2.5 minutes for emptying).

DECONWA Prep optimizes the preparation of fresh fruits and vegetables for further processing through wet decontamination. By using sanitizing additives in the wash water, the microbial load on the surfaces of the products is reduced.

The GS 10-2 by KRONEN is an exceptionally versatile belt cutting machine designed to process a wide range of foods effectively and precisely. Its multifunctionality allows not only slicing but also grating, shredding, and dicing. This machine serves as KRONEN's flagship model, capable of cutting a diverse array of foods including salads, vegetables, fruits, herbs, meats, sausages, fish, vegan substitutes, bakery products, cheese, and nuts. It is ideal for various applications and industries, capable of processing up to 1,500 kg per hour depending on the product and cutting style.

The GS 10-2 is known for its user-friendly operation: the appropriate knife for each product is easily mounted without tools prior to processing. Slice thickness can be adjusted continuously from 0.5 to 50 mm, while downward pressure and the speeds of the knife and belt can be customized. Products are prepared for cutting and manually placed onto the 125 mm wide feed belt. Thanks to precise downward pressure technology and product guidance, cutting is exact and gentle. The cut product can be ejected as standard into a spin-dryer basket or Euro crate beneath the knife box. It efficiently and reliably processes a wide variety of products, including salad, cut vegetables, fruit, canned goods, pickled foods and even caviar, thanks to its seven adjustable spin speeds.

The KS-7 PLUS can be integrated into processing lines as well as used as a stand-alone machine. In processing lines, it is used after the washing process, when the products are filled into the spin baskets and manually placed into the machine.

Before cutting, the appropriate knife is mounted for the respective product. The cutting thickness can be continuously adjusted from 0.5 to 50 mm. The hold-down pressure and the speed of the knife and belt can also be adjusted. The product is prepared for cutting - for example, cored, peeled or portioned - and placed on the 250 mm wide feed belt. Thanks to optimized hold-down technology and product guidance, cutting is precise and gentle. The cut products can either be ejected directly into a container below the knife box or optionally transported via a discharge belt for further processing.

The KS-100 PLUS can be seamlessly integrated into processing lines or used as a stand-alone machine. In processing lines, it follows the washing process in which the cleaned products are filled into the spinning baskets and then manually placed into the KS-100 PLUS.

The PL 40K potato peeling machine is the tried and tested basic model for peeling and washing potatoes, carrots, beetroot, kohlrabi and other root vegetables in small and medium-sized businesses.

Thanks to the standard equipment with a corundum system, the PL 40K enables the peel to be removed very thinly and gently. The entire cycle of filling, peeling and emptying takes about 2-3 minutes.

The PL 40K can be converted from a peeling machine to a washing machine in just a few simple steps. By replacing the corundum peeling insert with a rubber nub insert, the peeling machine becomes an efficient washing machine for tubers in just 3 minutes.

An optional automatic control system enables central control of the filling and peeling process. This makes the PL 40K ideal for integration into complete processing lines for washing, peeling, cutting and dicing root vegetables.
